Claude Opus 4.6 is an upgraded Opus-class model developed by Anthropic, designed for the most demanding reasoning, coding, agentic, and professional knowledge-work tasks. It improves on Claude Opus 4.5 with stronger coding skills, more careful planning, longer-running agentic task execution, better reliability in large codebases, and enhanced code review and debugging capabilities. With a beta context window of up to one million tokens, adaptive thinking, and effort controls for balancing intelligence, speed, and cost, Claude Opus 4.6 is well-suited for complex software engineering, multi-source research, financial and legal analysis, autonomous agents, and advanced enterprise workflows.
