GPT-4.1 is OpenAI’s smartest non-reasoning model, designed for strong instruction following, precise tool calling, and broad knowledge across domains. It supports text and image inputs with text output, a 1,047,576-token context window, and up to 32,768 output tokens. With low latency and support for streaming, function calling, Structured Outputs, fine-tuning, and hosted tools such as web search, file search, image generation, code interpreter, and MCP, GPT-4.1 is well-suited for long-context applications, knowledge work, coding assistance, tool-based workflows, enterprise automation, and production-grade AI assistants.
